They’re won’t be any more Orcing in Oblivion. I’ve long since lost the saves and everything related to that particular game.

Well, to start the day, the drink thingy pops up again.

I’m pretty sure I won’t be having problems with over-drinking any time soon. I try dropping a jug in the water once more, but get much the same result. Sigh. Lets’ get on the road.

I walk on, and it starts to rain again. I spot another imperial horseman heading down the path, in my direction.

I try to talk to me, and he looks at me a bit weirdly, but gives me some useful 411 on trolls.

I come across a dead mudcrab a ways up the road (most likely killed by the Legionnaire, who thought it to be a grave danger to the safety of the Imperium), and pause to grab some of its’ meat. I check the map, and am dissapointed – Bravil is still a pretty good distance away, and to find a place to sleep, I’m going to have go off road to find some wilderness camps. Which I don’t feel like doing, cause that means I’ll have to risk being attacked by wolves, bandits, bandit hedge wizards, mudcrab bandits, and the like. Ugh.

The rain starts again. Jesus Christ, is this, like, Vancouver?

Anyway, after a short while, I spot houses in the distance, and soon, I find Water’s Edge.

Seems pretty clean and Goblin-Free, so I shimmy on in, hoping to find a store to sell all my hard earned booty.

The farmers don’t seem to mind me stealing all their crops, so I help myself.

After sucking the field dry of corn, strawberries, watermelon, pumpkin, and cabbage, I proceed to look around the town. Sadly, however, I don’t find an inn, or even a store. Only three houses (which will count as my tresspassing if I enter), some more crops (which I take), some sheep, and this fellow:

I walk over there, and press the ‘E’ key. He, his mind totally off from the herding of his sheep, turns to me and responds rudely. I hope that he’ll give me directions to the nearest inn or shoppe, but all he has to talk about are rumours, so I ask him about those. He tells me something about the Grey Fox, a dangerous thief… Interesting. Perhaps if I nab this thief, my fame will spread throughout Cyrodiil? I pursue the subject,  and Pennus tells me he’s in the Imperial City. That’s useful, I’ll have to make a note to myself to ask about him there.

Seeing as Water’s Edge has nothing more to offer me, I get back on the path, and leave.

A castle looms out of the distance a short while later. It seems to be abandoned, which is all the more reason to avoid it.

A ways down the road is something else that’s dead.

It’s a bandit archer, his bow and his dagger, with which he made his last stand, lying in the street beside him. I deduce the cause of death was a sword to the face. I take all his wordly goods and TRY to his dead, fleshy body out of the road, but the Z Key doesn’t work, so I just leave him there.

Looks like I’ve got a full day ahead.

Walking for a while, I see what looks like Ayleid ruins up ahead.

Turns out it’s a wayshrine, and I get the blessings of some god or other. That’s neat.

But I’ve got a long day ahead of me, and there are long ways to go yet. I’m considering trudging off into the wilderness if a map symbol for a camp appears on my Grugzob-Radar, but, depends on the time.

Boy, has it been a while. Time to fire up ye old Oblivion!

Now, as a note, I’ve installed a new mod: One that requires me to drink SOMETHING on a regular basis, unless I want to dehydrate myself. It also adds water, in the form of waterskins, which I can refill at rivers, lakes, swamps, ponds, wells, etc. I’m planning to try it out for a week and see how annoying it gets.

Also this update is short.

First off, a dialog box pops up informing me about some stuff related to the water mod. That’s neat.

It’s 7:57 when I wake up. It takes me quite a while to remember the controls, and, when trying to open a chest, I accidentally first draw my axe, then drink a potion of restore fatigue, and then light the chest on fire.

That’s when I realize there’s a way to LOOK at the controls, through means of the magic escape key. I do so, then proceed to heroically open not that chest, but every single one in the cabin, looking for anything I might have missed on my previous raid.

After checking the cabin, I spin around to the door, and straight in my face is Mazoga. Me being as surprised as I was, I didn’t snap a screenshot, but did manage to get this one of her sleeping:

Resisting BOTH feral Orc tendencies (if you catch my drift… If you’re on the down low… If you’re getting my meaning… If you’re picking up what I”m putting down… Wink wink nudge nudge), I leave her be.

Before leaving the cabin, however, I remember the hydration mod, and so decide to, based on what I have read in the mods’ description, take a whole assortment of jugs, pitchers, and mugs from the cabin, in order to get the water I so desperately need to survive.

Nice.

Sitting down, I eat a breakfast of Mead, a carrot, and my last piece of mutton.

It’s somewhere around 8:13 when I take my last look around the cabin. I exit shortly after.

It’s raining outside. and I’m tired. Waking up at 7:30 is no easy feat, and having to hike all the way from here to Bravil is not a very nice thing to be doing. I also need to drink water every now and then.

Well, that’s one positive thing, I’ve got an Imperial Horseman, the iconic figure of strength, loyalty, and manliness to follow.

But then I realise I need to get some water for my journey, so I trudge over to the lake, the horseman not bothering to wait for me in the slightest.

It takes me at least a year to figure out how to drop the pitcher that I picked up earlier, and when I finally do, I can’t find it anymore. Crap. Good thing I brought extra.

A mug is the next to go. It plops into the water, I press my grab key, followed by my pickup key, which, according to the mod description, Is all I need to get water (even if it is untreated).

Close, but no cigar. The mug just plops back into my ‘misc’ section, still empty. After trying again at least 7 more times, I get the same result. Anyhow, I find what I’m looking for. Turns out I need an alchemic apparatus to actually get the water into the cup. Dunno why, but yeah, I do.

Well crap. All I’ve got from here to Bravil is one bottle of beer. Looks like I’m going to have to go thirsty for a while, and I’ll probably be a fair bit dehydrated by the time I get there. And I’ll have to buy water, too, or steal it from the wells. God damn, this IS pretty annoying.

Back to Oblivion then. Oh wait.

Looks like you’ve noticed the ‘Part One’ in the title. The reason that’s there is that after I opened Oblivion again by Alt-Tabbing. The game promptly crashed.
